Seodaemun Church
On September 1, 1961, Pastor Cho and Pastor Choi held a revival meeting in a circus tent in Seodamun, Rotary, where Pastor Sam Todd spoke. This revival brought in so many people from all over Korea, and many came after hearing about the faith healings. Many had accepted Christ that day when both Pastors decided to plant the first official Church with a building in Seodaemun. On October 15, 1961, the Full Gospel Revival Hall was created, which was later changed to Full Gospel Central Church. In 1964 the Church had grown to over 3,000 members, and Pastor Cho went overseas for the first time for the 50th celebration of the Assemblies of God, where he then went on to preach throughout the US as a Korean Pastor. Pastor Cho was the first Korean Pastor to have gone on such a preaching tour in the US, where traditionally, it was only US missionaries and Pastors preaching in Korea and other countries. This historical moment was the start of evangelists and preachers in other countries now becoming prominent enough that they were directly invited as guests. Seodaemun also saw the instituion of a organized Pastoral network. Due to the large number of attendees Pastor Cho educated, raised and had over 157 full time ministers watching over the congregation that were broken down by districts and sections which they called cell groups.
