Focusing on the origin and development of spiritualism and theosophy, it explores the history of mediums and occultists, their methods, and the psychology behind these beliefs. Research is presented about the ways in which mediums used techniques to fabricate results, as well as the techniques revolving around psychic force that the author concludes as being plausible.
