A collection of 100 short stories written in early Italian prose by Giovanni Bocaccio. Formatted in the form of a frame story, much like the Canterbury Tales, all of the stories share a setting and time frame (Florence during the era of the Black Plague) and some stories share aspects with others. Some are comedic, some are tragic, some are romantic, et cetera.
