She was deported to Theresienstadt (Terezin) with her parents Gretle née Buchsbaum and  Hugo Spitzer on September 30, 1942. All three died on October 5, 1942, at the Treblinka extermination camp. Susi was 11 years old. &#13;

He escaped to England in 1939; Clara Buchsbaum (grandmother of Barbara Gilford), born July 1, 1882, in the Austro-Hungarian Empire (Poland).
