The embossed writing on the bottle that reads, “Otto Brandt 287 Washington St. Newark, NJ” represents the bottles manufacture and identification origin. Based on internet research of bottle collector forums, Otto Brandt was one of three brothers who were all bottlers in the Newark area. Otto bottled and sold mineral and soda waters in the region from the late 1880’s to 1910, owning both a bottling plant and multiple stores to sell his wares. \r\nBased on Brandt’s type of business and trade negotiations, his products were sold to 3 counties surrounding Essex county, which includes Morris county.
